Yadkin Riverkeeper Honored in 2010 Governor's Conservation Achievement Awards

North Carolina Wildlife Federation presents the prestigious Governor’s Conservation Achievement Awards for 2010, honoring individuals, governmental bodies, organizations and others who have exhibited an unwavering commitment to conservation in North Carolina. These are the highest natural resource honors given in the state.

Yadkin Riverkeeper is proud to be the 2010 recipient of Water Conservationist of the Year of the Governor's Conservation Achievement Awards.

WATER CONSERVATIONIST of the Year • Yadkin Riverkeeper, Inc., Winston-Salem • The grassroots organization worked tirelessly to advocate for the Yadkin River, from its headwaters to its main stem, in corporate boardrooms and public meetings and the halls of the state legislature. Yadkin Riverkeeper has generated more than 10,000 media stories on clean water issues.
