Registration closes on September 5, 2019.

Join Yadkin Riverkeeper for our member-only Historic Paddles that explore the history of the Yadkin River. This year’s major TOUR sponsors are Great Outdoor Provision Co and Leonard Ryden Burr Real Estate. Supporting sponsors include Ilderton, Piedmont Triad Regional Council Bob Pate Memorial Fund for the Yadkin River, Carolina Heritage Vineyard & Winery, High Rock Outfitters, Foothills Brewing and Waterkeeper Alliance.

Guided by Brian Fannon and David White, this paddle travels from the Shoals access through Pilot Mountain State Park to Donnaha and further explores Native and Colonial American history, including fish weirs and evidence of early efforts to make the River navigable. One of the most scenic sections of the Yadkin River basin, it includes the surreal magnificence of Bean Shoals, undeveloped river banks, islands, huge boulders and rock formations.

Paddlers with their own boats are charged a fee per person per day to cover insurance, shuttle, processing fees and entry to post-paddle events. If you have paid your Yadkin Riverkeeper Membership Fee ($35), the paddling fee is discounted. There are discounted fees for volunteer to help with event logistics.

For participants in our members-only paddles, boats will be provided free of charge.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Registration closes on September 5, 2019.

PADDLE IS LIMITED TO 20 PADDLERS. You must be a YRK Member to sign up.
