Already one of the paddling volunteers of Yadkin Riverkeeper and want a refresher course in rescues? Perhaps you would like to join the team but are unsure on how to help other paddlers in need? Or maybe you are missing summer and want to spend time with paddle buddies. Come to the pool on Saturday, February 7th and enjoy time to explore unique circumstances and how to have a better outcome.

This three-hour training will be geared to paddle staff of the Yadkin Riverkeeper and the situations that may come up on our trips.

We will:

• Learn the nuances of recovering different types of boats.

• Use different tools associated with rescues.

• Improvise as needed

• And work through a few scenarios.

This training is meant to build confidence and have fun as we move from one “teachable moment” to another.
