SPONSOR THE LONG PADDLE 

Nicole Eastman and Ward Swann will lead a trip from the upper Yadkin River to the other end of the Yadkin River State Trail, Morrow Mountain State Park. The goals of this trip are:

• To draw attention to the history, positive attributes, threats to the Yadkin River, and Yadkin Riverkeeper as an organization

• Raise funds for the programs of Yadkin Riverkeeper.

There will be opportunities to join the paddle for a day or two. There will be articles along the way and some day to day observations from the paddlers that will be accessible online. Sunny days or rain we paddle. 

Even with this, the mission of Yadkin Riverkeeper continues on. We hope to use this opportunity to raise funds for needed materials and staff time. Your contribution will help us build the awareness that the Yadkin River, the second largest basin on the East Coast, deserves.
